With over eight years of experience in the publishing industry, I bring expertise in developmental editing, copyediting, and project management to every manuscript I touch. My editorial approach combines attention to detail with a deep respect for the author's voice and vision.

Professional Background
As a Production Editor at Solution Tree Press, I currently manage multiple book projects from manuscript assessment through publication, ensuring each work meets the highest editorial standards. My experience includes comprehensive developmental editing, creating detailed style sheets, and facilitating author relationships throughout the production process.
My editorial career also includes work as a Fiction/Developmental Editor at The Urban Writers and as Program Director at Harvard University's Ethelbert Cooper Gallery, where I created press releases, exhibition copy, and managed catalog production.
Editorial Expertise
I specialize in working with academic and scholarly publications, educational materials, and creative works. My clients have included Wayne State University Press, Fifth Avenue Press, Harvard University departments, and independent scholars. I'm well-versed in both Chicago Manual of Style and APA formatting requirements, ensuring each manuscript adheres to appropriate standards for its intended audience.
Community Engagement
I believe in the power of books to build community. As an Executive Board Member of the Ann Arbor Book Society, I collaborate with publishing professionals and local organizers to develop programming that increases access to literary resources in our community.
Personal Touch
When I'm not helping authors refine their manuscripts, you'll find me planning hiking adventures with my dog (pictured above) and fiancé or at my sewing machine crafting new projects. These creative pursuits help me maintain the balance and perspective that I bring to my editorial work.
Education
I hold a Master of Liberal Arts in Creative Writing & Literature from Harvard Extension School, complemented by a Professional Certificate in Visual Arts.
My educational background also includes a Bachelor's Degree in English from Boston University with a concentration in race, gender, and sexuality studies.
I'm currently enhancing my technical skills through UC San Diego's Certificate in Copyediting program.
